The filling quantity of lubricating grease has great effect on therunning of bearings and consumption of lubricating grease. Too much lubricatinggrease in the filling quantity of bearings will enlarge friction torque of bearingsmaking too high a temperature rise in bearings, and will lead to leakage andloss of lubricating grease. Otherwise, short of filling quantity or too littlemay lead to dry friction of bearings, which may damage the bearings.
The over-filled grease will also cause leakage or loss of redundantlubricating grease having adverse effect on the operation of machines. A properfilling amount of lubricating grease is calculated on several differentexperiences.
Generally, the filling amount of lubricating grease for sealing bearingsis properly based on 1/3 to 2/3 of empty cavity inside bearings. When bearingsare filled with lubricating grease, there will be a rise in temperature
